This policy covers the Ginomai website, desktop app, G-Web, and available online features. You can use local features without an account.
Information we collect
Songs, services, media, and preferences stay on your device unless you choose to share or back them up. Accounts use your email, name, and optional church/organisation, which may reveal religious affiliation.
Where enabled, usage statistics include app activity, version, platform, installation identifiers, and approximate location. Signed-in activity links to your account. These reports exclude presentation content, audio, and transcripts. Speech features also record usage totals.
How we use and share information
We use information to provide features, maintain Ginomai, protect accounts, and respond to requests. Authorised administrators and account, storage, hosting, email, and delivery providers handle information needed for these purposes.
- Google sign-in supplies your email and basic profile details, not access to Gmail or Drive.
- Deepgram receives microphone audio while cloud speech recognition is active. Browser-native recognition uses its browser/provider service.
- Google Gemini receives questions and recent messages when you use Ask Ginomai. Avoid confidential or sensitive information.
Where configured, location providers use your IP to estimate your area. No GPS is requested, and usage statistics do not retain raw IPs.
Providers may process information abroad under their own terms and retention settings. Enabled network features share presentation content and controls with connected devices.
Storage and your choices
Local information remains until removed or storage is cleared. Cloud profiles remain until updated or deleted. New backups replace older ones; you can delete individual backups.
- Usage statistics: enabled by default where configured. Turn them off in Help or Privacy preferences to stop future statistics reports.
- Speech recognition: stop recognition to stop microphone capture.
- Account and backups: use Account to edit your profile, delete backups, or delete your account. You can also contact us below.
Account deletion keeps local songs/services and removes linked cloud records. Unlinked statistics, infrastructure backups, and provider records may remain under separate retention arrangements.
Ask Ginomai's visible chat clears on New chat or leaving. Ginomai does not store chat transcripts or speech audio/transcripts in its usage records. Clearing chat does not erase provider records.
Your rights and security
Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, object to processing, or withdraw consent where used. Withdrawal does not affect earlier lawful processing. Contact us or complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
We use access controls and encrypted cloud connections; no system guarantees complete security. Policy changes update the revision date, with notice of material changes where required.
Children's privacy
Parents or guardians can contact us about a child's information. We review requests and remove information where required. Parental or guardian consent is required where processing a child's data relies on consent.
